Join us on November 2nd when the Widow Jane Mine will host a a collective expression of love, gratitude, and remembrance honoring our departed loved ones on the Day of the Dead and All Souls’ Day. Join us for sacred silence followed by music and dancing with tamales and treats by Sabor Mi Pueblo with Tilda's Kitchen.
This event is a fundraiser for the non-profit organizations Circle Creative Collective & The Century House Historical Society.
5-6pm: Sacred Silence
Step into the Widow Jane Mine for a time of quiet contemplation. Light candles and offer prayers or blessings at the altar we create together.
Feel free to bring flowers and photos of your loved ones. Light a candle at the alter. All will be left to go out naturally and any items left will be honorably buried in the Earth the following day.
A soundscape will be created by Sonic Elixirs.
6pm-9pm: Masquerade Dance
Celebrate your beloved’s life and legacy, honoring their memory through movement and dance.
Dress to honor your loved one: Consider wearing a mask or crown made with objects they owned or loved, or of their favorite animal. Perhaps wear their dress or shirt, or choose a style they liked. Incorporate colors or symbols that were meaningful to them. Or simply wear something that reminds you of them, no matter how big or small.
Music spun by DJ Marely.

Hallowed means sacred or holy, together we create this connection.
A Day of the Dead celebration, a tradition observed by many cultures worldwide, honors the lives of the departed. Rooted in ancient Aztec, Celtic, and Indigenous American customs, this observance commemorates the return of ancestral spirits and celebrates the cycle of life and death. We are working with people from all of these cultures to bring this evening to you.
On this day, the veil between the living and the dead is believed to be thinnest, offering a unique opportunity for connection and remembrance. Here, we create a new tradition that honors the past while addressing the needs of our diverse community today.
All Are Welcome
All ages, faiths and cultures are welcome. Children are welcome but must maintain respectful manners during the quiet portion of the event.
